NetEnt AB inks inaugural Pennsylvania iGaming partnership

Swedish online casino games and solutions developer, NetEnt AB, has announced the signing of a deal with Penn National Gaming Incorporated that is to see its innovations offered to players in Pennsylvania via the domain at HollywoodCasino.com

Follows New Jersey alliance:

The Stockholm-based innovator used a very short Thursday press release to reveal that the ‘customer agreement’ inked between its local NetEnt Americas LLC subsidiary and the Penn Online Entertainment LLC subordinate of Penn National Gaming Incorporated came a little over a week after it had established a similar partnership for New Jersey with Churchill Downs Incorporated.

Online casino collaboration:

NetEnt also has an analogous arrangement in place with Canada’s British Columbia Lottery Corporation and stated that it is to now supply Penn National Gaming Incorporated with a range of ‘popular online casino games’ to be enjoyed by players at HollywoodCasino.com.

‘Important step’ for growth:

Erik Nyman, Managing Director for NetEnt Americas LLC, declared that Wyomissing-headquartered Penn National Gaming Incorporated has now become its first customer in Pennsylvania before describing the agreement as ‘an important step in our growth strategy in North America.’

Nyman’s statement read…

“I look forward to our collaboration with Penn National [Gaming Incorporated] and believe that our entertaining online games will be much appreciated by players in Pennsylvania.”

Land-based operator expanding online:

For its part, Penn National is responsible for some 40 casinos and racetracks including Pennsylvania’s Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course and it paid a $10 million licensing fee in July to be able to offer real-money online poker, slots and table games to players in the eastern state. The firm is now awaiting official permission from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board to launch cash gaming at HollywoodCasino.com and could possibly be fully up and running as soon as the first quarter of next year.

Chris Sheffield, Senior Vice-President for Penn National Gaming Incorporated…

“We are pleased to offer NetEnt AB’s portfolio of online games to our HollywoodCasino.com customers and look forward to partnering with NetEnt AB to launch online gaming in Pennsylvania.”
